Heat Press Instructions
Start every DTF transfer at 260°F. Adjust up if the film isn’t releasing clean, adjust down if the fabric is scorching.

Prep the garment
Pre-press garment for 5 seconds at 260°F to remove moisture and wrinkles. Lint-roll if needed — dust ruins adhesion.

Position the film
Lay the DTF film print-side UP on the garment. Tape the corners with heat-resistant tape if it might shift during pressing.

First press
260°F · 15 seconds · medium-firm pressure (roughly 40 psi). Use a Teflon or parchment cover sheet on top.

Hot or cold peel
Peel the PET film either while it’s still warm (hot peel) or after it’s fully cooled (cold peel). Both work — pick whichever gives the cleaner release on your fabric.

Final press
260°F · 5 seconds with a cover sheet to lock in adhesion. This step boosts wash durability — don’t skip it.
✓ Do
- Use a Teflon or parchment cover sheet
- Wait at least 24 hours before first wash
- Wash inside-out on cold, tumble dry low
- Test on a scrap of the same fabric first if you’re unsure
✗ Don’t
- Iron directly on the print
- Rush the peel — go slow either way
- Bleach or dry clean the garment
- Skip the final press — adhesion suffers
⚡ Fabric tips
- Cotton / Poly / Blends: 260°F
- Nylon / delicate synthetics: 240°F (test first)
- Hats / thick canvas: bump to 280°F

Wash Care
Machine-wash inside-out in cold water. Tumble dry on low or hang dry. Skip fabric softener — it breaks down the adhesive over time. Iron only on the reverse side, never directly on the print.
